Dakota Fanning is wishing her younger sister Elle a happy birthday!
On Thursday, April 9, Dakota, 32, posted a sweet Instagram tribute in honor of Elle's special day.
"will always be one of the first, and greatest loves of my life. happy birthday @ellefanning," the All Her Fault star captioned the black and white photo of them at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2026.
Elle can be seen wearing a black strapless Givenchy dress with a bow, while Dakota sported an embellished Zuhair Murad gown. The two posed in a hug with big smiles.
"thank you for sneaking B12 into the tea that you make me. i love you more than could be imagined," Dakota concluded.
Elle, who turned 28, simply commented on the post, "❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ."
On her own Instagram, Elle shared a throwback video from a birthday surprise that took place last year on the set of Margo's Got Money Troubles, her latest project.
In the clip, Elle, holding a fake baby, walks into a room on set while the cast and crew sing her "Happy Birthday." They then wheel over a cake that says "Happy Birthday Elle," and the then-27-year-old blows out the candles.

Based on the novel of the same name by Rufi Thorpe, the upcoming Apple TV series follows Margo Millet, played by Elle, a young woman who — after getting pregnant by her college professor — becomes an OnlyFans creator to support herself and her baby.
The series, which she and Dakota both executive produce, also stars Nick Offerman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano and Thaddea Graham.

In addition to Margo's Got Money Troubles, the 28-year-old will star in The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping and the 2027 adaptation of Kristin Hannah's The Nightingale, the latter of which marks the first time she'll share a screen with big sister Dakota.
“I think we're going to have to be fellow actors on set. But, of course, we are playing sisters in the film that we're going to be working on together,” the Oscar nominee previously told PEOPLE, adding that “we have to bring a little bit of that" to the WWII film.
For her part, Dakota said that she was "nervous but excited" to act alongside Elle.
"For a while, [Elle and I] were very conscious of carving our own paths and being really selective about the things that we did together," the Sun Never Sets star told Byrdie in November. "We don't feel that pressure anymore. We've established that we're two different people with two different journeys."
Elle can next be seen in Margo's Got Money Problems, which debuts on Apple TV+ on April 15, and The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which hits theaters on Nov. 20. Dakota's next film, The Sun Never Sets, debuted at South By SouthWest in March.
