Elle King and her longtime partner, Dan Tooker, have married, with King calling their wedding the “best day of my life”

The couple, who first met in 2019, previously split before reconciling in 2024 and recommitting to their relationship

King and Tooker share two sons, Lucky Levi and Royal, who were also part of the wedding celebration

King, 37, shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, Oct. 4, with a carousel of photos from the special day, which featured an outdoor ceremony and rustic decor.

“Husband and wife. Best day of my life,” she captioned the post.

A representative for King did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

In the photos, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter can be seen wearing a fitted ivory satin gown with a plunging neckline, a dramatic flared skirt and a train. She paired the look with a sheer veil.

Tooker, meanwhile, wore a dark charcoal double-breasted suit and a black shirt, accented with a white boutonniere.

The groom shared videos from the event posted by guests and loved ones on his Instagram Stories the same day.

One of the snaps showed a moss green wedding cake with floral accents, complete with miniature fondant figurines created in King and Tooker’s likenesses.

Another video featured the happy couple singing together onstage, while yet another showed them walking together with their two young sons, Lucky Levi, 5, and Royal, 19 months.

King first met Tooker in 2019 when she stopped by his shop to get a new tattoo. They got engaged in October 2020 and welcomed their first child together the following year.

King confirmed she and Tooker were taking some time apart in 2023, but she announced they had reconciled exclusively to PEOPLE in September 2024.

“We’re back together,” she told PEOPLE at the time, adding, “We had to grow.”

King went on to say that she and Tooker recommitted to one another after realizing they already had everything they had “ever wanted” in each other.

“We have everything that both of us have ever wanted right here,” she told PEOPLE. “Let’s put our weapons down. Come on. This is it. This is life. It doesn’t get better than this. This is worth trying. This is worth wiping a slate clean. This is worth all the effort in the world. My family, this is what deserves all the energy and effort.”

The couple welcomed their second child in February 2025.

In a Father’s Day tribute to Tooker shared on Instagram in June, King called her now-husband the “love of my life.”

“Happy Father’s Day to @tattooker ❤️ the love of my life,” she wrote in the post, which also featured a carousel of family photos.

“I’m proud that our two boys have you as their role model. Champion of art, biggest of hearts, you are the definition of masculinity,” she continued. “The quiet resilience and softness that leads your endless strength, your faith in God, your undying love, THAT is what a Father is. We love you so much Poppa.”

King was previously married to Andrew Ferguson from 2016 to 2017.
