- Bam Margera will appear in *Jackass 5*.

- The *Viva La Bam* star and Paramount Pictures negotiated a new deal for him to appear via archival footage from prior *Jackass* projects.

- Margera is not expected to film any new material for the movie.

Bam Margera is returning to the big screen.

The *Viva La Bam* star will appear in the recently announced fifth *Jackass* movie, ** has learned.

However, Margera is not expected to shoot any new material for the film. Instead, he'll appear via archival footage that was captured during the production of previous *Jackass* projects. The move comes after the former pro skater and Paramount Pictures, the studio behind the *Jackass* films, reached a new agreement for the archival footage to be used in *Jackass 5*.

A representative for Paramount declined to comment on the matter. EW has reached out to Margera for comment.

Margera was a key member of the *Jackass* crew during the stunt-comedy show's original MTV run in the early 2000s, and appeared prominently in the first three *Jackass* movies later that decade.

He was set to star alongside Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and his other former castmates in 2021's *Jackass Forever*, and did appear in the marching band segment of the film. However, he was fired from production, and subsequently sued Paramount and several of the film's producers, including Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine.

In the lawsuit, Margera, who has struggled with addiction in the past, claimed that he was "coerced" into signing a "Wellness Agreement" before beginning production, and that he was wrongfully terminated after he took a drug test that he claimed he failed due to prescribed Adderall in his system.**

Margera dropped the lawsuit eight months later but continued to publicly slam his former costars, releasing a rap diss track about the *Jackass* gang in 2023.

In July, Margera ruled out a reunion with his former costars during an interview with CinemaBlend. "They have new dudes, and what they did to me, making me go to treatment and paying for it, and then not putting me in a movie, and I had to go to court over it," the skater said. "You couldn't offer me enough money to want to do another *Jackass* with them. The damage has been done."
