Jean Smart has won seven Emmy Awards since 2000, including four trophies for her Hacks

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, April 8, Smart admitted that she's not exactly sure where one of the trophies is located at the moment

Smart thinks the award is "in a box somewhere," though she didn't seem too convinced about its whereabouts

Keep your eyes peeled for an Emmy Award — Jean Smart is on the lookout for one of hers.

The Hacks star, 74, admitted during her Wednesday, April 8 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she's missing one of her trophies from the awards show.

"Every time I see you, I think you have more — a whole bunch more — awards," host Jimmy Kimmel said as Smart joined him for his late-night show. "How many Emmys do you have now? Can you even count them anymore?"

"I have seven, but I lost one," Smart said. "I don't know where it is."

After Kimmel quipped, "That means you have too many Emmys," Smart joked that there's "never too many!"

The decorated actress seemed to think the missing trophy was "in a box somewhere," though she didn't appear too convinced about its whereabouts.

Smart then shared a funny story about her oldest son, Connor, as she recalled a time when his high school friend "borrowed [an Emmy] for a little movie he was shooting." The friend, Smart said, only gave it back "when he was finally asked to return it."

Smart's seven Emmy wins have spanned the last 25 years. She won her first in 2000 for a guest-starring role on Frasier, before following that up in 2001 with another win for a different guest-starring role on Frasier. In 2008, she scored one for her role in Samantha Who? . Her four most recent wins were all for her performance as Deborah Vance in Hacks.

Smart poked fun at her winning streak in a 2024 acceptance speech. "Thank you so, so much. It's very humbling, it really is."

"And I appreciate this, because I just don't get enough attention," she added. "I'm serious!"

The fifth and final season of the hit HBO comedy premieres on Thursday, April 9, and will pick up "in the aftermath of mistaken and unflattering news reports" that Deborah died. She and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) "return to Las Vegas more determined than ever to secure Deborah’s legacy as a comedian," per the official synopsis.

New episodes of Hacks drop Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET. on HBO Max.
