Jimmy Kimmel is cheering on Donald Trump for agreeing to a ceasefire deal with Iran after previously threatening to erase an entire civilization.
The late-night comedian began his monologue on Wednesday’s episode of *Jimmy Kimmel Live *by celebrating that the entire world experienced a “TACO Tuesday instead of a War Crimes Wednesday,” referencing a popular abbreviation used to describe Trump’s political dealings that stands for ‘Trump Always Chickens Out.’
“This acronym TACO, I looked it up this afternoon, originated in a story in the *Financial Times* after one of the many times Trump backed down on tariffs,” Kimmel explained. “And it has since sort of taken on a life of its own not just here, [but] all over the world.”

Footage then cut to a clip from a Japanese news broadcast explaining the term. “Our president is such a laughing stock, the Japanese are learning to speak English and Spanish just to keep up with what’s going on,” Kimmel joked.
“But I have to be honest, I don’t like this TACO thing, this Trump Always Chickens Out, because it puts him in a corner,” he continued. “I congratulate him for chickening out. I think it was the right thing to do!”

After all, it could’ve been much worse. “A lot of presidents, after wasting $40 billion dollars and blowing up a school full of children, would stick with it,” Kimmel said. “They would keep going until their demands for the reasons they started this war were met.”
He continued, “They would keep bombing until they knew for sure that Iran would stop enriching uranium and murdering protesters, but not Donald Trump. Our president, he looked at the price of gas, he looked at the polls, he said ‘oops,’ and he tucked his pointy little tail between his porky pink legs and tiptoed right back out to the golf course.”
Kimmel jabbed, “Mission accomplished, everyone! That takes guts right there.”

The comedian previously ripped into Trump’s Truth Social threat on Easter to Iran to “Open the F---in’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you'll be living in Hell” on Monday's broadcast.
"Realize this is the same man that was just bitching about losing the Nobel Peace Prize,” Kimmel commented at the time. “Now he's threatening a civilization with death. He went from Mahatma Gandhi to General Zod like that.”
He later added, "If the president thinks that any of this is going to distract us from the fact that his name appears hundreds of thousands of times in the Trump-Epstein files, he's got another thing coming."
