KaDee Strickland is paying tribute to a late member of the Private Practice family.

The actress, who starred on the Grey's Anatomy spinoff series for six years, took to Instagram on Thursday, Feb. 5 to honor the life of one of the show's producers, Scott Printz.

"Thinking about @shondaland and my Private Practice family, as one of our most treasured members is no longer with us," Strickland, 50, wrote alongside a solo portrait of Printz and another snap with the Private Practice cast and crew.

"Scott Printz was a graceful, calm, and stealthily comical man," Strickland continued in her post. "He always had a smile to offer and an ability to problem solve with ease."

She concluded, "I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to know you.💔🕊️"

Printz died at the age of 69 on Jan. 23, as announced by his wife, former casting director Shani Ginsberg, per the Hollywood Reporter. A cause of death has not been made public.

He was known for working as a producer on all six seasons of Shonda Rhimes' series Private Practice (2007-2013) and How To Get Away With Murder (2014-2020). More recently, he had worked on projects like Truth Be Told and Bookie.

"There are only a couple of people I’ve worked with who were as knowledgeable about what all the departments did and what their needs were," cinematographer Tim Suhrstedt told THR in a statement. "Scott was extraordinarily intelligent and unfailingly honest. Production crews trusted and respected him."

More of Printz's production credits included assistant director on films like Fools Rush In (1997) and Hitch (2005).
