It has been more than four decades since Grease first became a musical sensation. The movie's box office success not only amplified the careers of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, but gifted pop culture with tunes like "You're the One That I Want" and "Greased Lightnin'."
Lorenzo Lamas, who had a non-speaking role as a jock in the 1978 musical, recently shared on social media what it was like to reconnect with Newton-John on the 2015 season of The Celebrity Apprentice after starring together in the Randal Kleiser–directed feature more than 30 years ago.
The Falcon Crest actor was asked on Twitter/X to share any "behind the scenes photos or stories" about his time on the season 7 finale of the competition series, in which he and the Xanadu actress aided contestants in their final task of creating a commercial and hosting an event for Universal Orlando Resort.
"It was a thrill to see her," Lamas wrote of Newton-John. "It had been several years since we last saw each other. It was the final task between Geraldo Rivera and Leeza Gibbons on celebrity apprentice. Olivia and Leeza were friends and Olivia agreed to sing to raise money for Leeza’s charity."
"She saw me dancing on the floor below and came off the stage to hug me," Lamas shared of the reunion, adding "I fell in love with her all over again!"

Newton-John, who also had a successful music career with hits like "Physical" and "I Honestly Love You," died in 2022 while at her home in Southern California at the age of 73. The English-Australian singer and actress fought breast cancer for more than 30 years.
The four-time Grammy winner sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time. Her portrayal of good-girl turned greaser Sandy Olsson alongside Travolta's Danny Zuko is her most iconic role, and was followed up by the actress' turn as Kira in 1980's Xanadu. Newton-John reunited with Travolta for 1983's Two of a Kind and appeared in TV movies like A Mom for Christmas and Sordid Lives.
Following Newton-John's death, Travolta remembered his longtime friend in a touching social media post.
"My dearest Olivia, you made all of our lives so much better," Travolta wrote on Instagram. "Your impact was incredible. I love you so much. We will see you down the road and we will all be together again. Yours from the first moment I saw you and forever!"
The Pulp Fiction actor also paid tribute to his Grease costar six months after her death with a touching recreation of their iconic "Summer Nights" duet in a Super Bowl commercial for T-Mobile. Joined by Scrubs stars Zach Braff and Donald Faison, Travolta recreated memorable dance moves and signature poses he first popularized in the '70s film.
