Tamra Judge has dropped the first hints about what The Real Housewives of Orange County viewers can expect from the historic season 20.
âSeason 20 is pretty exciting,â Tamra, 58, revealed on the Wednesday, April 8, episode of her âTwo Ts In A Podâ podcast. âEspecially coming off season 19 [which] was not great for me. I was in a really bad place. I feel like Iâm in a much better place.â
Tamra added that she feels âvery thankful just to be on season 20â as the longest-running cast member on RHOC with her 16th full-time season on the horizon.
âI canât say too much about whatâs going on because Iâll get my ass handed to me,â she joked. âI think itâs going to be an amazing season. I think itâs going to be different. I think it feels different. ⊠Iâm so much happier.â
RHOCâs Heather Dubrow Speculates How Vicki Gunvalsonâs Return Will Change Show Dynamic at BravoCon 2025
Tamra hinted that sheâs been having âa lot of funâ with her RHOC costars, especially now that the âOG of the OCâ Vicki Gunvalson has returned as a fulltime Housewife.
âI love having Vicki back, for sure. It feels like home when she is on the show,â she beamed. âIt just kind of gives it that early feeling that we had way back in the early days.â

She suggested that part of RHOCâs appeal at this point is her extensive history with Vicki and fellow mainstays Shannon Storms Beador and Heather Dubrow.
âWe definitely have the core four there ⊠who started in the early days,â Tamra pointed out. âThe new girls arenât very new anymore. [Jennifer Pedranti] is well-seasoned now. ⊠Itâs always fun to bring in a new cast member but itâs great to have people who know each other.â
Tamra has certainly come a long way since she memorably threatened to quit the show during the tumultuous filming of RHOC season 19, where she was once again on the outs with Shannon and Jen. She was also dealing with her friend and podcast cohost Teddi Mellencampâs cancer battle throughout production on season 19.

The Housewives icon shocked fans with an Instagram Story in March 2025 that read, âIt was a long run! When life gives you real problems this reality s*** doesnât make sense. Peace out ⊠Iâm out.â
However, Tamra exclusively explained to Us Weekly in August 2025 that sheâd simply hit her breaking point and was lashing out. Producers ultimately allowed her to take a week off to recharge her batteries.
âEverybody was calling me. Andy [Cohen] was calling me. [Executive producer] Alex [Baskin] was calling me. They asked me to please take a week off,â Tamra recalled. âThey said, âWe know how much stress youâre under, and I want you to take a week off. Come back to us in a week, and if you still want to quit, we respect where youâre at in your life and everything thatâs going on.â They were very nice to me, very kind to me about that.â
Tamra Judge Reacts to âThe Real Housewives of Orange Countyâ Season 20 Casting Rumors
Tamra indicated that her RHOC castmates were less compassionate, telling Us, âIâm not asking for grace. Iâm not asking for people to feel sorry for me but Iâm a human. I might seem tough but it doesnât mean I donât have any feelings.â
She continued, âTo see people like Emily [Simpson] and Gina [Kirschenheiter] say the things they said about me and not have any compassion? Honestly, Heatherâs the only one that truly had any compassion whatsoever for me.â
The Real Housewives of Orange County airs on Bravo. Old episodes are available to stream via Peacock.
